A virtual experience of an immersive sculptural installation. A memorial to a loving father, a chance to grieve, a chance to let go. His passion for running and restoring canals, a font of all knowledge no longer shared. Camping holidays remembered, his stuff in boxes, old books, clothes, tools. No longer used The breath of life, the first, the last. The unconscious action keeping us alive. Anthropomorphic air beds, inflated and deflated, movement and stillness, life and death. The taboo subject, a tyrannical secret , the unspoken, the abject. Covid19, George Floyd, air pollution, a political issue, the right to breath. Lockdown, life on hold, stay at home, save lives. Sorting through lofts, garages, old stuff. Re-activating archives, memories, the past Awareness of breath, integrating body and mind, focussed/controlled, time to breathe. Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, repeat.
