My name is Chelsea and I am an Associate Producer of the documentary In the Realm of Death & Dreaming, which asks the big question: Does consciousness continue after death, or is it lights out? This is the first film in a three part series about death and dying, and I’m posting today because many of our viewers are finding the film to be a helpful tool not only in their grieving process, but as a way of beginning to talk about death.

As you all know, exploring what happens after death not only helps us decide how we want to be cared for at the end of life, but it reduces our fear of death. We believe talking about death isn’t dangerous but, conversely, can nurture happier, healthier individuals and families who approach death informed, inspired, and with a sense of humor. We have partnered with various End-of-Life communities and institutions, Death Doulas, and grief groups; and I believe our film could be a great addition to your next Death Cafe.
