About this Death Cafe
"Let's Talk About Death!"
The Rutland Death Cafe is to provide a forum for people to openly discuss death and all that it encompasses. The word death causes one to shy away and pretend it "won't happen to me". But it will and does, so why not talk about it? Share our thoughts, fears, plans and perhaps find answers.
The Rutland Death Cafe will be held the SECOND Friday of every month, 4p to 5pm. Beginning December 13th.
Please note in the winter months we adhere to school closings due to inclement weather.
To be clear, this is not a grief or bereavement support group.
So, let's talk about death!
Coffee and Tea will be provided. Dessert options will be offered. Feel free to bring your own if have special diet. Let host know of any dietary allergies, such as nuts.
About NL Sobotka
Ms. Sobotka received a certificate as a End Of Life Doula through UVM. She is from the Rutland area but has lived in various major cities throughout the US.
Her interest in becoming an EOL Doula stems from her personal experience with the deaths of her parents and siblings. She wishes to put her knowledge and experience to use by assisting others in organizing, arranging and planning for their deaths in order to live their lives fully with the knowledge that they've left nothing unsaid or undone.
