About this Death Cafe
Due to virus concerns we welcome those who come to talk or to listen virtually. Just drop in. It's okay if you have to leave early.
We talk. We eat snacks and, sometimes, make new friends. No judgment!
This is not a grief support group.
This IS a conversation. No preset agendas, sales or sharing out forms is allowed.
About Sherry Gilles
Due to Covid-19 I am hosting irregularly scheduled pop up death cafes. The first one was on June 23, 2020. I forgot to document it.
Sherry Gilles is a retired RN who moved to Champaign, IL in 2015 due to blindness and needing great transportation options.
Sherry is also a death midwife and has been hosting conversations on death via Death Cafe since 2012.
She is assisted by Raymond T.Anderson who is a musician. He has been helping since the adventure began.
Both had early losses and encounters with death that left deep impressions on them. They are good listeners.
