About this Death Cafe

In 2015, I experienced the up close and personal experience of a family member receiving a terminal diagnosis and was a part of her journey for the next two years. She died in 2017. This was my descent into the portal of mystery, dying and the unfolding of the many unsettling questions that lay before me. Her death affected me in ways I could not articulate, and a quest began from her death. I realized how ill-equipped I was in talking, and understanding death. I also wanted to better accept my own mortality.”
