About this Death Cafe

Death is a universally shared experience that binds us in ways that nothing else does, yet it remains a taboo topic in many circles. 

I am committed to amplifying constructive conversations about death because I believe that both individually and collectively we can, and must, help normalize conversations about the dying process, death and grief. The longer we ignore the elephant in the room, the harder it will be to come to terms with the reality of our own  mortality when death comes knocking at our door.

Hosting Death Cafes is one way that I support conversations about death based on attending dozens of them over the past three years. I am always amazed by how this simple concept of tea, cake, a safe space, and open honest conversation provides so much to so many.
