About this Death Cafe

Los Angeles Death Cafe is an opportunity to gather with a group of friendly, earnest people, under the LA sunshine, and talk about death and dying. It's a beautiful opportunity to explore your questions, fears, and thoughts about death and loss that are often not welcome in other social contexts. Death shows up in many ways in our lives, not just end of life, and you're also welcome at this Death Cafe to explore the thematic and metaphorical ways that death is showing up for you -- through other forms of loss, transition, and grief.

We'll meet by the picnic tables at the lovely Bellevue Rec Center in Silver Lake. We will likely be sitting on the ground, in a patch of shade, so it's helpful to bring a blanket if you have one. Also bring a camping chair if sitting on the ground doesn't work for your body. Light snacks will be provided. Donations are accepted for this event.

RSVPs are helpful but not required -- feel free to bring a friend, partner, roommate, etc. Event will be cancelled in case of rain.

Please note that while the official address is on Lucile Ave, the park entrance is on Marathon St. There's a parking lot with overflow street parking on Marathon.
