About this Death Cafe
Circle of Friends for the Dying celebrates the 3rd year of bringing Death Cafes to the area with its 32nd CFD Death Café on Thursday, August 11, 2016. Laurie Schwartz, Co-founder of Circle of Friends for the Dying, will present Understanding Compassion Fatigue: The Cost of Caring About and for Others. This will be the first in a new format to support the community in its ability to break the taboo on talking about dying and death. The talk will be preceded by music to gather by with Busking for Bread, CFD Death Café’s troubadours, and followed by the Death Café.
About Circle of Friends for the Dying
Circle of Friends for the Dying is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization in Ulster County, NY chartered to bring compassionate, competent care to the dying and their families in a Home filled with a circle of community support. CFD bought a house in 2015 and is presently seeking funds for renovation in order to open in 2017.
