About this Death Cafe

At a Death Cafe people come together in a relaxed setting to drink tea, eat cake and share their stories about death. Warning: feelings of relief, positivity and unexpected humour may occur.

About Zee Jacob, Emma Coonan, Miriam Taylor

Z is a leadership coach and facilitator for work, and a walker, forager and explorer of life - and death. She’s Indian-British and noticed that death isn’t openly talked about very much in British culture, and is delighted that the Death Cafe movement is helping change that.

Emma is an ex-librarian and current researcher in higher education pedagogy at Anglia Ruskin University. She spends an unfeasible amount of her life on trains and drinks too much espresso. Emma is on Twitter as @LibGoddess.

As a psychotherapist and trainer with many years' experience, Miriam is comfortable creating a safe space for groups to talk in, and in holding the feelings that arise with existential issues. She is pleased NOT to be offering therapy for the Death Cafe!
