About this Death Cafe
Aly believes that we can together and in our Communities get back to the time when Death was treated as part of life. She sees this happening at the many Death Cafes she has hosted.
At a Death Cafe there can be sadness and grief but there is joy, laughter, support and honesty too.
Subjects raised by participants at Death Cafes have ranged from the practical aspects of planning for the end of life so wishes and choices are respected to what happens after death, to overcoming fear of death and dying, to honouring our finite lives to grief and bereavement. But there is no agenda - people can talk about whatever is important for them.
Please do join us, there will be a warm welcome, tea, coffee, cake and a great conversation.
