About this Death Cafe
This is as authentic as you can get. No agenda, no ideology. You share what's on your mind related to death & dying. This is a discussion group, not a grief group or educational session. Guests over 18 please. Free. Six years ago we hosted the first Death Cafe in the United States right here in Westerville. Now the phenomenon has spread worldwide to 58 countries.
About Lizzy Miles and Alexis Babik
Lizzy is a passionate advocate for end of life issues and has presented her research at national and international conferences. Six years ago, Lizzy hosted the first Death Cafe event in the United States right here in Westerville. Lizzy's work with the Death Cafe movement has been featured in numerous national newspaper and radio stories.
This Death Cafe will be cohosted by Alexis Babik. Alexis is an MSW student, hospice intern and works at a funeral home. She has always been interested and fascinated by death. She buried three high school classmates and most of her family, so she learned from a young age how to cope and help others grieve a loss.
