About Amy Devine:
I am a masters level social worker who has worked for fifteen years in the home health and hospice arena and am currently the Director of Social Services with River Valley Home Health and Hospice. I am married and the mother of five and have lived over 30 years in Northern Arizona.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
Eleven years ago I had a medical event and became incapacitated and almost died. As a result, I have become passionate about end of life planning and all things death and dying. My goal is to help to normalize death and dying and give people an outlet to have difficult conversations.
What would you like your legacy to be?
I would like my legacy to be that I showed up for difficult conversations and offered listening, presence, encouragement and resources helping people walk through difficult times.
