What brings you to Death Cafe?
The facilitator is important to ensure that the discussion stays on the topic of Death. In the Death Cafe of A Coruña, this role will be played by Iriana Cacheiro Peña, Psychologist since 2002, specialized in Family Therapy, with experience as a therapist, educator and motivator of groups. She has spent five years caring for the emotions of people with brain damage at the A Coruña Adaceco Association. Her interest and concern for people is the engine that drives her to participate in this new initiative. She states that people don’t feel comfortable when talking about death because death brings sadness and pain, and for this reason it is an issue barely socially addressed.
