We had a terrific Death Cafe with a record 25 people! I was tempted to split the group but it flowed smoothly with most contributing. Two participants recommended companies to which you can donate your body for science, leading to interesting discussion. Also talked about importance of dreams of those approaching death as well as myriad other topics. Good stuff!

With 15 participants plus myself, this was one of the largest Death Cafes I've facilitated. It was also the first one held at the Desert Foothills Library, which is an outstanding facility with a vibrant community (hence the large turnout). As is typical for Death Cafes, we had lively, interesting discussions on topics such as the difference between resignation and acceptance, how to talk to those recently bereaved, and how dying can be a time of deep processing--even when the dying person is unconscious--at a level the living don't fully appreciate. Really looking forward to March's gathering!

This was our second meeting: I've facilitated 4 years of Death Cafes in Whitefish, MT, but am now living in Stevensville so have started one here in the Bitterroot. Our public library provides a wonderful, accessible venue! We had a small group--just 5 of us--but our conversation was lively, insightful, and everyone contributed.

As with the first two Whitefish Death Cafes, this evening was filled with lively discussions covering a range of topics including the fear of death, what comprises a full life, detachment vs. attachment, surrender vs. control, and healing into death. We had 12 participants: 7 of us were returnees and 5 were newbies. The conversation was stimulating, thought-provoking, and thoughtful with everyone respecting the observations and opinions of others. Looking forward to the next one!
